General
FloGrappling digital collectibles are much like real world collectible (trading card, poster, jersey, etc.) except they only exist online. They also unlock access to virtual events on our Discord Channel and special perks (like a pace truck ride!). Digital collectibles can do this because they can be instantly identified on the blockchain as authentic. They can be a proof of ownership, a ticket or a pass that unlocks exclusive experiences and more.
All of our Digital Collectibles are minted on the Tezos Blockchain, the Official Blockchain of FloSports.
Think of a Grappling Pack as a pack of digital trading cards. Each Grappling Pack comes with three (3) random digital collectibles and will feature a jiu-jitsu athlete who has competed on Tezos Who’s Number One Presented by Fat Tire.
Each Grappling Pack contains three (3) random digital collectible cards from 18 total collectible designs in one of the three rarities: Common, Rare, and Ultra Rare. There are three (3) Ultra Rare Digital Collectibles, six (6) Rare Digital Collectibles and nine (9) Common Digital Collectibles.
To collect a full set at a specific rarity (Common, Rare, or Ultra Rare), fans will need to buy multiple packs of digital collectible cards and/or trade with other fans on the Objkt Secondary Marketplace. A full set of Digital Collectibles is defined all of the digital collectibles at ONE rarity (i.e.; all three of the Ultra Rare Digital Collectibles, all six of the Rare Digital Collectibles or all nine of the Common Digital Collectibles.

Web3
Web3 opens up potential in this new digital age to unlock an internet that is decentralized and puts more choices into the hands of users and fans. The Web3 infrastructure allows for the creation of communities and renewed ownership in your assets, data and digital entities- all with the benefit of security thanks to blockchain.
Web3 is a new iteration of the internet as we know it today. In the simplest terms, it’s a decentralized network that puts more control of content, assets and even how communities are created in the hands of users. Blockchain allows for this world to be validated and secure, opening up new opportunities for how we interact online.
A blockchain is a vast, public ledger that validates transactions and information. It can also track and verify ownership of digital images and collectibles. Blockchains are transforming how value is exchanged in the digital world. They make cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tezos possible.
Many of the concepts that led to blockchains have been around for a long time, such as cryptography, linked lists and distributed ledgers. However, blockchains combine them in a way that revolutionizes how digital transactions can be made.
A cryptocurrency is a form of currency that belongs to a blockchain network or application and is not reliant on a central authority like a bank or government. They use cryptography to create new tokens, secure transactions and verify ownership. There are many cryptocurrencies and blockchains. United’s digital collectibles are stored on the Tezos blockchain (one of the most energy-efficient blockchains available).
Tezos is a popular, energy-efficient blockchain. It’s secure, upgradable and scalable with an on-chain governance mechanism that allows anyone to vote on the future of the blockchain. These features are consistent with FloRacing’s wider efforts to promote environmental sustainability and continually evolve with the support of its global community
No. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency, designed as a "peer-to-peer electronic cash system." The network on which Bitcoin runs is called the Bitcoin blockchain. Now there are many different cryptocurrencies and many other blockchains - FloRacing’s digital collectibles are stored on the Tezos blockchain (one of the most environmentally friendly blockchains available).
FloSports/FloRacing has selected Tezos, a more energy-efficient ‘Proof of Stake’ blockchain (versus other Proof of Work blockchains) to massively reduce energy consumption. The total annual carbon footprint of the Tezos blockchain equals the annual average energy footprint of 17 global citizens.
